Willie Dale Hale

   Willie Dale Hale, 73, of Marion passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 in Marion, IL. He was born on August 16, 1953 in Illinois to Willie “Bill” Nelson Hale and Effie Elizabeth (Schnieder) Crayne. Willie was a believer of Jesus’ saving grace. He never failed to say “I love you” and show kindness to family and friends. Willie loved to be outside whether it was hunting, fishing, or just going for a walk. He loved to collect old cowboy movies. Willie was known for his playful spirit and sense of humor. He could turn an ordinary coffee drinking gathering into a source of contagious laughter, leaving behind a trail of funny stories.

   Willie is survived by his daughter, Kasheena Callahan of Olney; sisters, Ann (Steve) Poshard of Carmi, and Nettie “Sandy” Cardwell of Evansville; several nieces and nephews. A special friend, Brenda Haynes, and residences of Spanish Oaks. He is preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.

   No services will be held at this time for Willie Dale Hale, 73, of Marion. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Willie’s memory to Spanish Oaks Center at 223 W.
