William Bullard, Sr

William E. “Bill” Bullard, Sr., 81, of Mt. Vernon, died Saturday, May 21, 2005 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born September 25, 1923 in Cynthiana, IN son of Clifford and Lena (Creek) Bullard. Bill was a member of The First Christian Church in Mt. Vernon and owned and operated Bullard Electric in Mt. Vernon for many years. He was a WWII US Airforce veteran and a member of Owen Dunn American Legion Post #5 in Mt. Vernon. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Bob Bullard, his sister Joyce Boyer and a grandson, Derek Weilbrenner.
Bill is survived by his wife of 30 years, Glenda F. (Howell) Bullard of Mt Vernon; sons, William “Bill” Bullard, Jr. of Evansville and Keith and Brandon Bullard of Mt. Vernon; daughters, Lynda Schneider and her husband John of Newburgh, Karen Lottes and her husband Dave of Evansville, Dawn Weilbrenner and her husband Andy of Mt Vernon, and Gina Ellis and her husband Mark of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren, Kriste Valentine and her husband Michael, John Schneider III and his wife Kelly, Wendy and Cody Schnieder, Katie Wood and her husband Brian, David, Ashley, Kari and Kelsey Lottes, Nichole, Andrew, Jeffrey, Whitney and Jade Weilbrenner; 5 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Emily, Kaven, Kaliyah and Kustam
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, May 24, 2005 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street Mt. Vernon, IN with Rev. Floyd Stamm officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, May 23 and from 9:00 AM until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon with military rites. Memorial contributions can be made to The First Christian Church.
