Virgil G. McCarty

    Virgil G. McCarty, 71, of Anna passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022 at his home in Anna.  He was born in Eldorado, IL on July 13, 1951 the son of Virgil Gerald McCarty and Lena J. (Osman) McCarty.  Virgil had been a resident at Community Integrated Living (New Way) in Anna for several years and worked at J.R.'s Centre Day Training Program in Anna.

     Virgil is survived by his brother, Stanley McCarty of Norris City; along with the residents and caregivers at Community Integrated Living in Anna. He was preceded in death by his father Virgil McCarty in 1973 and his mother, Lena J. White in 2003.

     A graveside service and burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2022 in North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Memorial gifts may be made in Virgil's memory to J.R.'s Centre and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
