Steve Coston

      Stephen Coston, 75, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He was born on December 30, 1947, in Carmi, the son of Melvin Wayne and Kathryn Jean (Browning) Coston. Steve married his wife of 54 years, Rita Holland October 16, 1969, and she survives. Steve was a master wood worker and an electrician. 

      In addition to his wife Rita, Steve is survived by his daughter, Sarah Coston of Carmi, IL; a sister, Jo Satterfield of Grayville, IL; and bonus sons, Danny Satterfield and James Harrison.  

    A private memorial service will be held for Steve Coston at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Steve's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
