Shelia L. Clodfelter

   Shelia L. Clodfelter, 74, of Norris City passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, IN. She was born north of Carmi in Centerville on July 17, 1952 the daughter of William Carroll and Bertha M. (Schmittler) Murphy. Sheila married Richard A. Clodfelter on May 27, 1971 and he survives. For over 20 years, Shelia worked for the State of Illinois as a Home Health Nurse with Addus HomeCare. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and Professional Bull Riding.

   Shelia is survived by her husband of 55 years, Richard; children, Therisa (Eugene) Roberts of Las Vegas, NV, Patrick Clodfelter of Georgia, Jeffery Warren of Evansville, Matthew Lavon of Ft. Wayne, IN and Walter Earl (Barb) Jones of Pueblo, CO; brother, Carl Murphy of Kansas City, MO; several grandchildren, and great grandchildren; numerous foster children; and nieces and nephews, including Clinton Ackley who she helped raise. She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Charles Murphy, Carol Ackley and Glen Murphy.

   Funeral services for Shelia L. Clodfelter, 74, of Norris City will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Private burial will be at a later date in Centerville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Shelia's memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Project and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
