Sharon Browning

     Sharon K. Browning, 79, of Norris City passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent in Evansville, IN. She was born in Heralds Prairie Township, IL the daughter of Dallas and Edna (Weasel) Fulkerson. Sharon married James Marvin Browning and he preceded her in death on December 10, 2003. She retired after many years as a cook in the Norris City-Omaha-Enfield School District. Sharon was a faithful member of the Norris City General Baptist Church. She loved to sing and write poems.

     Sharon is survived by her children, Brandon Browning of Norris City and Carmen (Cord) Bear of Ormond Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Japheth (Brittany) Bear, Harmony Bear, Owen Swearingen. Cana Bear and Grayson James Browning; a great granddaughter, Adaline Bear; and a brother, Mike Fulkerson of Norris City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Marvin, a daughter, Malinee Browning and two sisters, Leatha Martin and Margie Burnett.

     Funeral Service for Sharon K. Browning, 79, of Norris City will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 3, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until service time at noon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Eagles' Nest and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821
