Sarah M. DeLap

October 17, 1947 — May 17, 2026

Norris City

Sarah Marie DeLap, 78, of Norris City entered her Eternal Life on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on October 17, 1947 in Norris City the daughter of Everett and Gwendolyn (Sibly) Hamilton. Sarah married Harold DeLap on May 17, 2000 in Kentucky, and they shared 26 years of marriage together. She worked as a store owner, waitress, homecare aid, and church secretary. Sarah was caring, compassionate, and kind. She was a devoted Christian, loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, and friend. Her hobbies were going out to eat, singing, sewing, shopping, spending time with family, making sure her fingernails were done, horseback riding when she was young. She also had a very impressive shoe collection. Though our hearts mourn this loss, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace in heaven, free from pain, and resting in God’s eternal love. Her faith, strength, kindness, and love touched so many lives and will never be forgotten.
