Sallee Hart

     Sallee Von Hart, 77, of Carmi, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Wabash Senior Living in Carmi. She was born on May 5, 1946, in Carmi, the daughter of H.V. and Rowena (Mossberger) Brown. Sallee worked as a secretary at Egyptian Health for over 20 years. She was a member of Enfield Christian Church. Sallee enjoyed riding horses, reading, and most of all, spending time with family.

     Sallee is survived by her children, Shannon Ellison of Carmi, IL, Chris Hart of Alton, IL and Doodle Hart of Enfield, IL.; three grandchildren, Cody and Jasper Hart of Mt. Erie, IL, and Sarah Ellison of Norris City, IL; a brother, Noel Brett Brown of Carmi, IL; brothers-in-law, Stan Hart and Roger Hart; sisters-in-law, Dana Smith, Jeanie Palmiter, and Ruthie Hart; and several nieces and nephews.

     Graveside services and burial for Sallee Hart will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Enfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Sallee's memory to Plainview General Baptist Church in Norris City, and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield, who is in charge of arrangements, or by mail at 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
