   Rose Mary Nalley, 67, of Newport News, VA passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at her sister's home in Carmi. She was born on December 10, 1958 in Evansville, IN the daughter of Marion and Ethel Ellen (Stallings) Mayhue, Jr. Rose Mary married Eddie C. Nalley on March 11, 1990. She was a 1976 graduate of Carmi Community High School. Rose Mary had worked as a substitute teacher and Real Estate Agent in Virginia. She and Eddie also served as Foster Parents to over 70 children through the years. Rose Mary was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Newport News. She loved shopping, especially if she had a coupon, and camping.

   Rose Mary is survived by her husband of 35 years, Eddie; two children, Christopher Nalley and Melissa Forbes; sisters, Nancy Wilson, Marilyn Gray, Linda Horton, Shirley Martin and Donna Sell; two grandchildren, Victoria and Vanessa; along with 7 nieces, 3 nephews and several foster children. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Josephine Hill.

   Funeral Services for Rose Mary Nalley will be held on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in Hazel Ridge Cemetery near Omaha. Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Rose Mary’s memory to Charles Ford Hospice of Harmony. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or donations can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
