Robert Leslie Wilson

     Robert "Bob" Leslie Wilson, 77, of Carmi, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at Villas of Hollybrook Reflections Memory Care in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. He was born on April 8, 1948, in Salem, Illinois, the son of Leslie Wayne and Patricia (Ross) Wilson. Bob married Stephanie Hall on March 9, 1990, and she survives. Bob served in the Navy as a member of The Seabees. He attended church at The Roads Church in Norris City. He was the proud owner and operator of Les Wilson, Inc., an oilfield drilling and service company. Bob enjoyed bird hunting, horse riding, and boating. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.

     In addition to his wife, Stephanie, Bob is survived by his children, Jennifer (Paul) Manfrey of Seminole, FL, Robert W. (Dana) Wilson of Carmi, Sage (Caleb) Mitchell of Carmi, Ross Wilson of Carmi, and Reed (Sam) Wilson of Carmi; grandchildren, Avery Manfrey, Olivia Manfrey, Adalea Wilson, Wade Wilson, Javan Mitchell, Sophia Mitchell, Amelia Mitchell, and Jonah Mitchell; a sister, Margaret "Peggy" (Ron) Graul; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Laura) Graul, Megan Graul, Andrew Graul, Carson (Tyler) Cushman, and Cole (Whitney) Carter; and several other family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents.

     Funeral services for Robert "Bob" Leslie Wilson will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at New Life Apostolic Church (formerly Rig Ministries) in Carmi, with burial at Brush Harbor Cemetery near McLeansboro with military honors by the Carmi American Legion and VFW. Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Roads Church, Wendell Foster or the Villas at Hollybrook Reflections Memory Care Unit, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
