Paul Von Corbett, 88, of Norris City, passed away at his residence on Monday, August 31, 2026. He was born November 16, 1937, in Rostraver, Pennsylvania, to James K. and Mildred Elizabeth (Hepple) Corbett. On October 19, 1966, Paul married Donna June (Lambert) Corbett, and they shared more than 39 years of marriage before her passing on February 7, 2006. He retired from General Tire in Mt. Vernon, Illinois, where he worked as a relief operator. Paul enlisted in the Army, served in Germany, and was assigned to border patrol. He enjoyed collecting coins and arrowheads, fishing, and fellowship with others.
Paul is survived by his grandson, Jason Edwards of Carmi who was his caretaker and was very special to him; daughter, Dorothy “Dodie” (Steve) Richardson; siblings, Teddy Corbett, Dorothy Lawrence, and Sarah Garus; grandchildren, Summer Roe, Erica Roberts, Elexia Roberts, and Jessie Roberts; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Skyler, Makenzie, Mitchel, Zayden, and Rylie; special friend, Barbara Stanley; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James K. and Mildred Elizabeth (Hepple) Corbett; son, Bruce Roberts; brothers, Eugene, Keith, Kenneth, Glenn, George, and William; sisters, Alma Jean Behanna and Barbara Piper.
Funeral Services for Paul Von Corbett, 88, of Norris City will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will follow in Ditney Ridge Cemetery near Norris City. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City.
