Patsy Edwards

     Patsy Louise (Talley) Edwards, 84, of Effingham, formerly of Norris City, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Lakeland Rehab and Nursing in Effingham, Illinois.  She was born on February 26, 1938, the daughter of William Monson and Eura (Vaughn) Talley. Patsy married James Monroe Edwards on July 2, 1955, and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2016.  She attended Powell General Baptist Church, and more recently attended The Roads Church in Norris City. Patsy enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with family.

     Patsy is survived by her son, Eddie (Sheryl) Edwards of Newton, IL; grandchildren, Brandon (Cheyenne) Edwards, Dewayne (Jessica) Edwards, Darah (Tyler) Cummins, and Jeremy (Allie) Edwards; and 10 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Shelli Edwards. In addition to her husband, James Edwards, Patsy is preceded in death by a son, Dennis Edwards; and siblings, Louis, Ronald, Beryl, Earl, and Eddie Talley, Ruth Zeimet, and Edna Talley.

     Funeral services for Patsy Edwards will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City with burial at Powell Cemetery in Norris City. Friends and family may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Patsy's memory to The Roads Church and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City, who is in charge of arrangements.
