Nancy Simmons

Nancy C. Simmons, 72, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 17, 2018.  She was born on June 29, 1945 in Elgin, IL, the daughter of Alfred and Winifred Harris.

Mrs. Simmons had worked as a home healthcare giver, and was a server in many local restaurants.  She was a member of Pentecostal  Assembly Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca (Ricky, Jr.) Bradley, five grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lenard Frederick Simmons and brother, Robert Eugene Harris.

Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.  Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until the time of service.  Memorials are suggested to the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
