Minnie Quanna Newman

   Minnie Quanna Newman, 78, of Carmi passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN. She was born on December 17, 1947 in Sebree, KY, the daughter of George and Eva Mae Gish. Minnie married Charles Alvin Newman on January 12, 1969. They shared 55 years of marriage together until his passing on October 24, 2024. Minnie loved to play bingo and taking care of her husband and family.

   Minnie is survived by her children, Bill (Mariah) Newman of Carmi, Rita Trabant of Carmi, and Rada Turner of Carmi; siblings, Bobby, Ronnie, James, Rocky, Clifton, Georgia, Nancy, Cindy, and Penny; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and several grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Minnie Quanna Newman, 78, of Carmi will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will follow at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with services and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W.
