Marjorie "Marj" Millspaugh, 98, of Norris City passed away on April 26, 2026 at Fox Meadows Supportive Living in McLeansboro. She was born on August 6, 1927 in Hamilton County, IL the daughter of Samuel Monroe and Elsie Vay (Johnson) Allen. Marj married Ezra Millspaugh on June 15, 1968 and they shared over 54 years of marriage together until his passing on June 10, 2023. She had attended the Carmi Church of Christ and was a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ in McLeansboro. Marj was also a member of the Home Extension and enjoyed canning whatever she raised, making homemade rolls, being a Lioness and supporting Ezra in all his activities. Her greatest joy was her children and grandchildren and reading stories with her great-grandchildren.
Marj is survived by her children, Allan L. (Margaret) Vines of McLeansboro, Marcia Ann (Mark) Hiller of Harrisburg, and Myra Annette (Rod) Brashier of Macedonia; eight grandchildren, Mendy Dale, Keren Genet, Rachel Brashier, Heather Stanley, Tony Rister, Erika Healy, Brandon Morris and Chad Morris; great-grandchildren, Payton Dale, Ari Genet, Austin Stanley, Jordan Stubblefield, Jaden Ezra Stanley, Sarah Healy, Evan Healy, Erik Healy, Kaitlyn Cochran, Emma Morris, Cora Morris, Adrianna Morris, Aden Morris and Alyssia Morris; three great-great grandchildren, Evelyn, Bellamy and Graelynn and one on the way; and a sister, Joy Inboden of McLeansboro.. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ezra; son, Michael Duane “Mouse” Millspaugh; sisters, Irma K. Mayberry, Melba Louann Williams, and Verla Sue; two grandchildren, David and Missy Vines.
Funeral services for Marjorie "Marj" Millspaugh, 98, of Norris City will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Norris City. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at noon at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Marj's memory to Fox Meadows Supportive Living Sunroom Fund and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821.
