Marcel Kaluza

     Marcel (Busby) Kaluza, 75, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at Carmi Manor Rehab and Nursing in Carmi, Illinois. She was born on April 17, 1948, in Butler, Alabama, the daughter of Henry and Irene Busby.  Marcel married Louis Kaluza on May 6, 1991. and he preceded her in death on December 9, 2003. She attended the Carmi Church of the Nazarene. Marcel enjoyed playing bingo at the Carmi VFW, and she loved spending time with her family.

     Marcel is survived by two daughters, Melody (James) Poston of Carmi, IL. and Angela Mueller of Ohio; grandchildren, Madison (Shelby) Stinson, Dakota Poston, Liam Mueller, Juliet (Marc) Vela, David and Liam Mueller; great-grandchildren, Nathalie and Naythan, as well as Kinsley who is due this summer. Marcel was looking forward to her arrival; and a brother, Kenny Busby of Carmi, IL, In addition to her husband, Louis Kaluza, Marcel is preceded in death by her parents; children, Sharon Gladden, David Gladden and Mark Gladden; and a brother, Hillry Busby.

     Graveside funeral services for Marcel Kaluza will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at Melrose Cemetery in Carmi, Illinois.  Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
