Madge Brooks-Hutchcraft

Madge Brooks-Hutchcraft, 97, of Carmi, passed away at 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born in White County on April 26, 1920 the daughter of Hobart and Minda (Duckworth) Young, Madge married Leland Brooks in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1970. She later married Albert Glen Hutchcraft in December 15, 1984 and he preceded her in death in September 15, 2010.  Madge was a housewife and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Madge is survived by a son, Bart and Millie Brooks, of Norris City; daughter, Judy Lee Fleck, of Carmi; four grandchildren, Beth McCoy, Kevin Stocke, Kent Stocke and Krista Prather; five great grandchildren, Brooke McCoy, Bailey McCoy, Jacob Stocke, Ethan Prather and Ariel Allen and one great-great-grandchild on the way.

Funeral services for Madge Brooks-Hutchcraft will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. Burial will be in White County Memorial Garden in Carmi. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Campbell Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made in Madge's memory to Wabash Christian Village Memory Care Unit and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
