Mabel D. Todd

   Mabel D. Todd, 85, of Enfield passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. She was born on January 13, 1941 in Carmi the daughter of Earl and Jenny Irene (Ninness) Pollard. Mabel married Donald G. Todd on March 8, 1958 in Carmi, and they shared over 57 years of marriage until his passing on July 29, 2015. She was a member and attended New Beginning Church of God in Carmi. Mabel’s hobbies included crocheting, drawing, singing at home and church, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also known for keeping her house clean and organized.

   Mabel is survived by her children, Miranda (Dan) Atkinson of McLeansboro, Dana (Wes) Evans of Enfield, Donald Todd, Jr. of Enfield, Gregory Todd of Clinton, IN, and Michael (Athena) Todd of Enfield; siblings, Betty (Tom) Hosick of Enfield and Roy Pollard of Thailand; grandchildren, Danny (Stacey) Atkinson, Douglas (Amanda) Atkinson, Derrick (Crystal) Atkinson, Melissa (Jarrod) McKenzie, Adam Turner, Melinda (Chris) Dotson, Jacob (Sierra) Davis, Ashley (Jacob) Adkisson, Megan (Todd) Hudson, Abigail Todd, Courtney Todd, Brandon (Krista) Todd, and Sara (Teddy) Henkelman; twenty-one great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Irene Pollard; husband, Donald G. Todd; siblings, Violet Ashby, Viola Carty, Robert Pollard, George Pollard, Kenneth Pollard, William Pollard, Helen Sexton, Margaret Pollard, Judy Pollard, Clarence Pollard, and Maxine Harvey.

   Funeral services for Mabel D. Todd, 85, of Enfield will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. Burial will follow in Enfield Cemetery in Enfield. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mabel’s memory to New Beginning Church of God’s Food Pantry or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and will be accepted at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield or by mail to 609 W.
