Lucy Wood

Lucy Flora Wood, 89, of Staunton, IL. passed away on Sunday November 29, 2020 at Alhambra Rehab and Healthcare in Alhambra, Illinois. She was born on November 26, 1931, the daughter of  Oather and Norma (Raglin). Lucy  married Kenneth Wood on April 1, 1948 and he precedes her in death.  She attended beauty school, worked as a homemaker and as a cook for the VFW.  Lucy enjoyed quilting, playing bingo and doing word search books.

Lucy is survived by two sons, David (Shirley) Wood of Cisne, IL. and Danny (Theresa) Wood of South Roxanna,  IL.; three daughters, Margaret Pruitt,  Deborah McKee and Kimberly (Foster) Oglesby all of Staunton, IL.; a brother Ronald Foley of Carmi, IL.; 14 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren and 7 great- great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Kenneth Wood; a son  Shean Wood;  a brother, Earl Foley; and a sister Ramona Foley,

Private funeral services and  for Lucy Flora Wood will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Lucy's memory for  funeral expenses and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
