   Our beloved Lonnie passed away suddenly on Friday, January 30, 2026 at the age of 72 years old. Lonnie Gene Holloman was born in Heralds Prairie, Illinois to Joseph and Eula Dell Holloman on November 21, 1953 and was raised in Illinois. Lonnie was passionate about family and his beloved pets. Lonnie was a cross-country Semi-Truck Driver and loved being behind the wheel of his 18-wheeler. He was also passionate about his Two- Wheeler (A.K.A. his motorcycle). We want to send a special thank you to the Storm Riders for their part in his retirement dream of motorcycle riding. Also, an extra special thank you to Sister-In-Law Diana Holloman for always being there for Lonnie.

   Lonnie is survived by his son, Lonnie Holloman Jr.; 4 grandchildren, Elizabeth Holloman, Lonnie “Butch” Holloman III, Matilda Holloman, and Harley Holloman; 6 great-grandchildren that reside in Tennessee; brother, Rocky Lane Holloman and his wife Dana Holloman; sister, Tracy Ann Holloman-Wilson and her husband Paul E. Wilson Jr.; and numerous other in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lonnie also wanted a special shout-out to one of his dearest friends, Jeremiah Henrichs. Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Joe Dale Holloman, William “Bill” Holloman, Jack Holloman, John David Holloman, and Greg Allen Holloman; sisters, Rebecca Kay Holloman-Rowe, Cathy Lynn Holloman-Smith, and Ginger Rae Holloman-Wathen.

   A visitation to celebrate the life of Lonnie Gene Holloman, 72, of Herald Prairie, IL will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Burial will be held at a later date in Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses. Envelopes will be available at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi or donations can be mailed to Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W. Main St, Carmi, IL 62821 or by Venmo @jordanfuneralgroup. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
