Linda Carol Vines

     Linda Carol Vines went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2026, surrounded by her family.

     Linda was born in Alton, Illinois to her parents Velmer William and Nadine Kelly on June 17, 1943. She grew up near Norris City on the family farm.

     On September 16th, 1962, she married George Vines. Together they had four children. Over the years she held multiple important roles. First she was a homemaker, raising her children. Later in life she worked at both CVS and Banterra Bank. She also enjoyed many years with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, her son David, and her great-granddaughter Sage Lepski.

     Survivors include her husband George, their children Joyce (Kevin) York, Kelli (Kevin) Savage, Kristine (John) Whetstone, her grandchildren Bethany (Josh) Beadles, Erin (Ryan) Lepski, Braden (Tabitha) Blackwell, and Aiden Whetstone, and her great-grandchildren Addie and William Beadles, and Leah Lepski.

     A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Norris City. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
