   Robert Larry York, Sr., 74, of Elberfeld, IN passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026 in Evansville, IN. He was born on August 19, 1951 in New Haven, IL the son of Robert J. and Ethel (Spivey) York. Larry enlisted into the Army on March 15, 1971 and served during the Vietnam War. Later in life, he was an over the road truck driver. Larry was a member of a Veteran motorcycle group called the Rolling Thunder. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, visiting and eating with friends weekly, and working as a trucker for many years.

   Larry is survived by his children, Tina (Pete) Pethtel of Norris City, IL, Robert L. “Bobby” (Vickie) York, Jr. of Reagan, TN, and Jaime (Tony) Guches of Cameron, NC; life companion, Rosemary Frailey of Carrier Mills, IL; grandchildren, Destiney Sauls, David (Dustin) Edwards, Brittney Edwards, Dezerae York, and Jordan (Payton) Stifle; great-grandchildren, Lyla, Abel, Devin, Bailee, Braidon, Marley, Dakota, Donavon, Cole, Bryar, Kinslee, Chesney, Hudson, Logan, Tanner, and Bayleigh; siblings, Brenda Haught of Norris City and Glenda (Rodney) O’Neal of Norris City. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert J. and Ethel York.

   A Graveside Service and Celebration of Life will be planned for the fall of 2026. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
