Kenneth Kennedy

     Kenneth Paul Kennedy, 73, of Norris City, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Silver Foxes Living and Rehabilitation in McLeansboro, Illinois, He was born on November 21, 1951, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Paul R. and Jessie May (Henson) Kennedy. Kenneth worked above ground, cleaning coal mine equipment. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Norris City. Kenneth was a friend to everyone and loved to talk. He never met a stranger. He was a prayer warrior and never missed an opportunity to pray for whoever he met. Our community has lost a wonderful, God fearing man. He will be greatly missed.

      Kenneth is survived by his special friends, Steve and Etta Healy of Norris City, IL. and his First Baptist Church of Norris City family. He is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, David Wayne Kennedy.

       A service to celebrate the life of Kenneth Kennedy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at First Baptist Church in Norris City. Private burial will be in Union Cemetery in Norris City. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Kenneth's memory to First Baptist Church in Norris City and will be accepted at the church. Donations may also be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is in charge of arrangements.
