Kathy Holloman

   Kathy Holloman, 67, of Carmi, passed away Thursday, August 20, 2026, at her residence. She was born January 31, 1959, in Carmi to Charles Wesley and Charlene (Rush) James. On February 10, 1977, Kathy married Jack H. Holloman in Shawneetown, and they shared more than 29 years of marriage before his passing on November 26, 2006. She worked as a seamstress and bookkeeper and was co-owner of the Gabby Goat in Effingham, IL. Kathy enjoyed golfing, sewing, crafting, and spending time with her family.

   Kathy is survived by her son, Lee (Erin) Holloman of Carmi; grandchildren, Courtney Johnson, Andrew McCormick, Cayden Holloman, Makenlee Holloman, Olivia Kelly, and Max Kelly; great-grandchildren, McKenna Johnson, Cash Buchanan, and Wren Marlow; siblings, Charlotte (Bill) McGarrh of Calvin, IL, Cerissa (Al) Waddington of Crossville, and Donnie (Nancy) James of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Charlene James; daughter, Bridget McCormick; siblings, Beverly Rayborn and Jacqueline James.

   A private graveside service will be held in Herald Cemetery in Carmi. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s memory to the CWCHS Golf Team and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home or by mail to 609 W. Main St, Carmi, IL 62821.
