Julia F. Pettijohn

     Julia Fern (Browning) Pettijohn, 98, of Norris City, passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Linda E. White Hospice House, in Evansville, Indiana.  She was born on November 4, 1923, the daughter of Fred and Effie (Aud) Browning. Julia enjoyed quilting, gardening and loved playing the piano. She attended Norris City General Baptist Church.

     Julia is survived by daughters, Janice (Darrel) Ridenour of Norris City, IL.  and Rosemary (Curtis) Lambert of Albion, IL; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and a sister Maxine Hancock of Marion, IL.  She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, Carson Pettijohn; and siblings, Mark Browning, Vernell Bates, and Kathryn Coston.

     Funeral Services for Julia Pettijohn will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27, 2022  at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi with burial at Union Ridge Cemetery near New Haven.  Family and friends may visit from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 27, 2022, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Linda White Hospice House, and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi who is in charge of arrangements.
