Joseph Henry Dinwiddie passed away on May 30th, 2026 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. Henry was a man of god who never feared death for a second. He was born on December 17, 1945 the son of John Floyd and Minnie (Beaton) Dinwiddie. Henry married Iva Mae Hankins on December 27, 1967 and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2020.
Henry is survived by his grandchildren Nicholas and John Page and Angelica (Mike Campbell) Dinwiddie. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Iva, his two children Jim and Kathy, three siblings and his parents.
Henry was an ironworker for many years. He enjoyed gardening, welding and reading the Bible. He was a member and deacon of Enfield General Baptist Church where he did all he could to help others and serve God.
While Henry will be missed there is no reason to be sad about his passing, He is where he wanted to be and with people whom he loves and has missed for many years.
Funeral Services for Henry Dinwiddie, 80, of Enfield will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. Burial will be in Enfield Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Stendeback Funeral Home in Enfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Henry's memory to Enfield General Baptist Church and will be accepted at the funeral home or by mail to 609 W. Main St., Carmi, IL 62821
