John David Turner

John David Turner, 60, of Carmi passed away on June 17, 2026 at his home in Carmi. He was born on November 22,1965 in Carmi the son of Edsel A. and Judy (Smith) Turner. John worked in the oil field, but most recently worked at Gottzz’s in Carmi. He enjoyed Mushroom hunting and loved being with his family and friends.

John is survived by his two children Michelle and John Turner, siblings Tony (Karlyn) Smith of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Michael Ross Talley of Mt. Pleasant, MI, Adam Earl Talley of Lansing MI, Lisa Graham of Carmi, IL, Kyle (Michelle) Turner of Bridgeport, IL and Heather Chapman of Carmi, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents an aunt and uncle. John leaves behind several cousins, nieces and nephews who will miss his messages on special occasions.

Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements. At the family’s request there will be no services at this time.
