John Riley Mick, I

       John Riley Mick I, 64, of Crossville, passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana. He was born on August 18, 1958, in Carmi, Illinois, the son of Wesley Otto. and Barbara Helen (Roeder) Mick Sr. John married Christine Fern Waters on May 13, 1978, and she survives. He worked as a mechanic, in the oil field as well as factory work. John was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He enjoyed fishing, wrestling, watching paranormal shows, and being a mechanic. However, he loved spending time with his family the most.

      In addition to his wife Christine Mick of Crossville, IL, John is survived by his mother, Barbara Mick-Bane of Crossville, IL; two sons, John Riley (Sarah Elizabeth) Mick, II of Gentryville, IN. and Patrick Kelly Mick of Crossville, IL; grandchildren, Wyatt "Ollie" Mick, Ireland "Leprechaun" Mick, Patrick "Little Man" Mick II, Kielee "Peanut" Mick, Mikyah "Puddin" Mick, and Tobias "Bam Bam" Mick; a sister, Jennifer (Tony) Loyd of Texas; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father, Wesley Otto Mick, Sr; and a brother, Wesley Otto Mick, Jr.

      In abiding with John's wishes, there will be no services at this time. Contributions can be made in John's memory to the family in care of Citizens National Bank in Crossville. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
