Joan Butts

         Joan Dee Butts, 77, of Grayville, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at Meadowbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab in Grayville, Illinois. She was born on December 2, 1946, in Virginia, the daughter of Paul Wayne and Bobbi McGhee. Joan married Paul Eugene Butts and he preceded her in death on December 20, 1996. She loved being with her cats.

     Joan is survived by her daughter, Marlena McGhee of Harrisburg, IL; her grandchildren, Michael, Shania, Johnathan, and Joshua Gibbs, Breanna, Richard, Brandon and Mariah Gray, and Maria Tyson; great-grandchildren, Rei'Lee, Brennon, Carter, and Journee Gibbs, and Logan Gray; her step-mother, Ruth McGhee; and step-sisters, Connie Crider, Cathy Blazosky, Patricia Frakes and Priscilla Simmons; and several cousins. In addition to her husband, Paul Butts, Joan is preceded in death by her parents; and two children, Martin Logan Butts and Paula R. Butts.

     There will be no services at this time per Joan's request. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
