Jimmy Lynn King

   Jimmy Lynn King, 57, of Carmi passed away on Monday, September 14, 2026 at his residence. He was born on July 9, 1969 in Carmi to Jacob Lee “Ernie” and Peggy Joyce (Fisher) King. Jimmy graduated from Carmi High School in 1988. He was married to Brenda Lee (Smith) King on September 1, 1995. Jimmy attended Trinity Assembly of God. He enjoyed watching wrestling, Carmi White County Athletics, and drag racing.

   Jimmy is survived by his wife, Brenda King of Carmi; children, Bobbie Ward, Jerry Russell, Jr., David Russell, Lisa Rudd, and Rhonda Lytle; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; and a special family friend, Scott Mareing. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; several aunts and uncles; grandmother; and a brother, Jerry Thurman Steven.

   A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi. A private burial will be held in Stokes Chapel Cemetery in Crossville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with expenses.
