   Jenell Hayden was born on June 11, 1932, in Livingston, TN and passed away peacefully on May 9, 2026, in Gilmer, Texas. She lived a life filled with love, care, and dedication to her family and the simple joys of nature.

   Jenell graduated from Carmi High School as the Valedictorian, a testament to her commitment and hard work early in her life. As a homemaker, Jenell’s world revolved around the well-being and happiness of her loved ones.

   She enjoyed bird watching, tending to her flowers, and spending time outdoors. These hobbies brought her peace and happiness. Above all, Jenell loved her grandchildren and took great joy in caring for her family.

   She is survived by her sons, Robert Hayden and his wife Rhonda, Tony Hayden and his wife Rose, and Bret Hayden and his wife Margie. She also leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Hayden, and her sister, Nelene Pollard. Jenell’s family extends to ten grandchildren, along with numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

   Jenell was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Robert Harvey and Mattie Jewell Wilburn Harvey, her husband Bob Hayden, her son John Hayden, her brother Larry Harvey, and her sisters Jewell Behler and Francis Hillyard and grandson, John Albert Hayden.

   A graveside service will be held at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi, Illinois on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
