Jane Sneed

Jane Rose (Fulkerson) Sneed, 96 of Carmi, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family. On January 16, 1926, Jane was born in Herald Prairie Township, White County, IL the daughter of Joe and Elsie (O’Neal) Fulkerson. She married Reva Sneed on August 5,1946 in Maunie, IL and together they shared over 56 years of marriage before his passing in 2003. Jane was a devoted wife, loving mother, caring grandmother who loved her family very much. Jane loved worshipping Jesus, reading the Bible, and going to church, she was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include, her daughter Janette Cash of Norris City, IL; brother, Russell (Shirley) Fulkerson of Carmi, three grandchildren, Carla Frahm, Greg Purcell and Chris Purcell; seven great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Reva, Jane was preceded in death by eight siblings, Grace Fulkerson, Reba Aud, Si Fulkerson, Dallas Fulkerson, Dayton “Bill” Fulkerson, Woollard Fulkerson, Lynn Fulkerson and Leland “Doc” Fulkerson.

Funeral Services for Jane Rose (Fulkerson) Sneed will be held at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, IL, at 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 30, 2022, with burial following immediately at Union Ridge Cemetery in New Haven, IL. Friends and family may visit from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Campbell Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
