James Michael Tucker

   James Michael Tucker, 76, of Carmi passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born on August 20, 1949 in Harrisburg, IL the son of Carl and Betty (Davis) Tucker. James had previously worked as an insurance salesman. He also was involved in Eldorado’s Eagles Lodge for many years and loved to go fishing.

   James is survived by his children, Michael (Jennifer) Tucker of Evansville, IN, Brian (Becky) Tucker of Eldorado, Zack Tucker of Eldorado, Angela Ashford of Shawneetown, and Emily (Dylan) White of Eldorado; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Tena (Keith) Bean of Eldorado; and several nieces and nephews, including: Josh Bean and Jessica Oldham. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Cathy (Hiller) Tucker; and a brother, Roy Tucker.

   Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements. At the family’s request there will be no services at this time.
