James Robert "Bob" Endicott Jr.

      James Robert "Bob" Endicott Jr., 76, of Carmi, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2024, at his home. Bob was born on April 19, 1948, in Evansville, IN, the son of James Robert and Virginia Lee (Williams) Endicott Sr. On June 16, 1979, he married Karen Bingman at First Presbyterian Church in Carmi and together they have shared over 44 years of marriage. Bob received a Bachelor’s Degree in education and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Murray State University. He taught in Danville, IL, Fairfield, IL and for over twenty years at the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center in Morganfield, KY. After his career in education, Bob went on to work in finance as a stockbroker with American Diversified Financial until his retirement. Bob enjoyed studying and sharing information about history, especially the American Civil War and World War II, he was also a collector of artifacts and antiques from these and other periods of history. Most importantly, Bob was a student of the Holy Bible and a man of faith, who loved his family dearly. 

      In addition to his wife, Karen Endicott of Carmi, Bob is survived by his children, Stephanie (Zachary A. Schneider) Endicott Viger of Carmi, and Matt (Amber) Endicott of Sesser, IL; grandchildren, Isaac Viger, Gabriel Viger, Ezekiel Endicott, Lily Endicott and Kinzy Schneider. He was preceded in death by his parents.

      Funeral Services for James Robert “Bob” Endicott Jr. will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with burial following immediately at North Maple Ridge Cemetery in Carmi. Family and Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi.
