Hope Williams, 96, of Enfield passed away at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Fairfield Memorial Hospital-Skilled Care Unit. She was born March 24, 1919 in Hamilton County, IL the daughter of Curtis Eldred and Ethel Pearl (McArthy) Clark. She was a homemaker and had worked as a Secretary/Bookeeper for Citizens Bank.
Hope is survived by a daughter, Bryanna Bea (Tom) Barron of Evansville, IN; a son, John P. "J.P." (Cindy) Williams of Enfield; a step-son, Stanford (Martha) Williams of Carmi; three grandchildren, Heath (Marilyn) Ritchel, Tyler Ritchel and Siobhan (Mark) Standring; one great-grandchild, Devin Hale; and a brother, Clinton Clark of Carmi.
She was preceded in death by four sisters, Clover Clark, Violet Miller, Love Dunaway and Dixie Shawhan; and two brothers, Cupel and Curtis Clark.
Services for Hope Williams, 96, of Enfield will be held at a later date with burial in Enfield Cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
