Helen Pauline Kost

Helen (Gross) Kost, of Mt. Vernon, IN, died Saturday, August 12, 2006 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was the daughter of William and Minnie (Friend) Gross. She worked at Briggs Aviation during WW II as a Riveter. Her husband Mark Kost preceded her in death in 1974; he brother, Hubert and sister, Evelyn.

She is survived by her sons, Mark Kost and his wife Jill of Mt. Vernon, IN and Dennis Kost and his wife Deborah of Mooresville, IN; Her sister, Nadine Carr of Mt.Vernon, IN; grandchildren, Mark Kost, Jr, Nicole Kost Buschemeyer, Ryan Kost and Nathan Kost; and her great grandson, Wesley Kost.

Private Funeral services will be held at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN. Burial will be in the Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.. Contributions can be made to Kidney Foundation or Posey County Counsel on Aging.
