Hazel Wood

Hazel Mae Wood, 82, of Harrisburg, Illinois passed away on November 18, 2020 at Saline Care Center in Harrisburg.  She was born on December 30, 1937 the daughter of Leonard Smith and Opal (Leathers) Leach.  Hazel worked in housekeeping at the Executive Inn in Evansville. She also did restaurant, factory and nursing home work throughout the years.

Hazel is survived by a brother, Roger (Paula) Smith of Omaha IL. and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Carl, Charles and Ralph Smith and Wes Leach, and a sister Betty Pearce.

Graveside services and burial for Hazel Mae Wood will be held in Powell Cemetery on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m., with Pastor Benny Webb officiating.

In accordance with CDC and IDPH recommendations social distancing will be observed and masks will be required.
