Grace Elizabeth Wood

     Grace Elizabeth Wood, 89, of New Haven passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at Wabash Senior Living in Carmi, IL. Grace was born on May 23, 1936, in Carmi, IL. She was the daughter of Ernest W. and Della Marie Boehringer. She married James A. Wood on April 16, 1954, and they moved to New Haven in 1965. Grace worked for several years with family at Boehringer Insurance Agency as a secretary. Grace loved to go fishing with her husband. Grace was a devoted member of the New Haven Presbyterian Church.

     Grace is survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her brother-in-law Ted (Lois) Wood of Carmi. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother William M. Boehringer.

     A graveside funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at White County Memorial Garden in Carmi, IL. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is assisting the family with arrangements.
