Frankie Bowman Briggs

Frankie Jean Bowman Briggs, 54, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at her home on Wednesday, December 12, 2018.  She was born on July 27, 1964 in Hammond, IN, the daughter of Frank and Nina Bell (Knott) Bowman.  She married Donald Briggs, Jr. and he preceded her in death on November 25, 2018.'

Frankie worked for the Mt. Vernon School District in the lunch program and Deans Pizza.  She enjoyed spending time with her better half, Donald, their many dogs, and many nephews and nieces.

She is survived by her brother Ricky Bowman (Stacey Brakie), sisters, Donna Hayes and Tammy Mello (Jeff Bulla); step-father, Harold Gross;  many nieces and nephews, and of course, her dog, Jack.  She was preceded in death by her father, and mother, Nina Bell Knott Gross.

Funeral services  will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Stendeback Family Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon.  Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service.  Burial will be in Bellefontaine Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at www.stendebackfamilyfuneralhome.com
