Frank William Newman, 63, Carmi passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
He was born on October 29, 1961, In Chicago Illinois. He was the son of Frank C. Newman. He married Twila Ann Bridges on September 7, 2019.
Frank worked in the oilfields where he earned the nickname “Twist-Off.” The rest of his life he worked at Brown’s Feed and Chemical where not only was Mike Brown, his boss but became a father and best friend to him. He worked long hours, either farming or over the road truck driving. Frank made it his life mission to take care, provide, and show his family how important hard work is and how it paid off in the end. Newman gave 100% he told his daughters and grandchildren.
Frank loved fishing, hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. He and his daughter Melinda spent many seasons deer hunting trying to “Out hunt” each other. Though he “ALWAYS” out hunter her. This was said because she let him out to hunt her to keep him from crying and “cracking his tough as shoe leather exterior.”
Frank was always a tell it like it is and a very blunt person. Because of this he was not everyone’s “Cup of tea.” Most people respected and loved him for this. Frank had a very hard time showing his feelings except when it came to his family. His strong. unbreakable, never-ending love for his family will always be felt, shared, and will live on forever.
When Melinda brought two little babies to him, he told her that she was crazy for going down the path of fostering. That journey led him to becoming “Grumpy.” Grumpy because he refused to be called Grandpa. His grandchildren had him wrapped around their little fingers. He always had shopping, and McDonalds money, along with an endless supply of snacks, cokes and sugar! They became his life and made his love stronger than ever.
In his earlier years Frank married Cindy Lou Brown in 1979, whom became his lifelong very good friend. Frank and Cindy had two daughters Melinda and Tabatha.
Frank is survived by his wife Twila Newman, friend Cindy Newman. His two daughters Melinda (Eric) Newman-Redding, and Tabatha (Jeff) Holland. His grandchildren Ethan Frank Newman, Haylee LouAnn Newman, Dristin Desper, Tyler Payne-Holland, Pheobe, Malakai, Emunah, and James Escoto-Aponte. Along with several Stepchildren and Step grandchildren. His two sisters, Barb Newman, and Terri Newman. Along with his nieces Rebecca “Becky-Bob” Newman, and Amber “Pampers” Newman.
