Eva Y. McPherson

Eva Y. McPherson, 63, formerly of Carlyle, passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026, in West Frankfort, IL. She was born February 26, 1963, in Welch, WV, the daughter of Charlie McPherson and Virginia (Kennedy) McPherson. Eva liked to spend time with her loved ones, especially her sisters. She will be greatly missed.

Eva is survived by her children, Curtis Blake Moss of Norris City, IL, and Tonya Lynn Moss of Chicago, IL, her son-in-law, whom she loved and called Prince Curtis Hightire of Chicago, IL; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers and 5 sisters; her ex-husband, Roger Moss of Enfield, IL; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her 2 daughters, Jessica Jean Moss and Evonne M. (Moss) Turner, and her parents, Charlie and Virginia McPherson.

A Celebration of Life for Eva Y. McPherson, 63, of Carlyle will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Campbell Funeral Home to assist the family with services and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home, 609 W.
