Earl Hunt

     Earl Hunt, Jr., 105, of Hondo, TX, passed away on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Heritage Place Assisted Living in Boerne, TX. He was born on July 5, 1921, in Hamilton County, IL to Willis Earl and Grace Frances (Williams) Hunt. Earl married Eleanor Hunt on August 22, 1941, and they shared 70 years of marriage before her passing on September 5, 2011. Earl was a farmer and had a passion for gardening. He was a veteran of the United State Army serving during World War II and served his country proudly.

     Earl is survived by his daughter; Marilyn Dawson of Bandera, TX, sister; Ruth Griffith, grandchildren: Samantha Burrell, Michele Eyerly, and Craig Eyerly, great-grandchildren: Russel Burrell and Gavin Eyerly.

     Private burial for Earl Hunt, Jr., 105 of Hondo, TX , was in West Union Cemetery near Carmi. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi assisting the family with arrangements.
