     Douglas Alan Stucky, 75, of Carmi, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. He was born on January 17, 1949, in Freeport, Illinois, the son of Harland Stucky and Helen (Holland) Silliman. Doug married Brenda Garlene Walker on August 13, 1976, and she survives. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Doug was the owner and operator of Stucky Construction. He was a member of the Carmi VFW, American Legion, and the Moose Lodge. Doug enjoyed camping, boating, and piddling at his shop. He loved and treasured his family and friends. 

     In addition to his wife, Brenda Stucky of Carmi, IL, Doug is survived by his children, Kim (Patrick) Owen of Carmi, IL, and Michelle (Robert) Niehaus of Carmi, IL; grandchildren, Breona Owen, Austin Owen, and Katelyn Niehaus; and a brother, Kevin Stucky of Carmi, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents. The family would like to recognize and give a special heartfelt thank you to Doug's Home Health Aide, Gena Broombaugh.

     A memorial visitation for Doug Stucky will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, with full military honors provided by the Carmi VFW and American Legion. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Doug's memory to the Carmi American Legion and will be accepted at Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, and can be mailed to 609 W. Main St. Carmi, IL. 62821.
