Dorothy Pollard

     Mrs Dorothy A. Pollard at the young age of, 87, of Carmi Illinois sadly passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025 in Dunedin, FL. She was born in Thackeray, IL on July 20, 1937 the daughter of Andrew and Violet (Campbell) McMahan. Dorothy married Donald G. Pollard the love of her life on November 4, 1953 and he preceded her in death on November 1, 1992. She worked and raising three beautiful daughters along with helping raise her first granddaughter Brandy D Pollard. Mrs Pollard was avidly involved with the First Baptist Church in Carmi and loved to play Bingo along with spending time with daughters & son-in-laws & her grandchildren which she adored. Dorothy Pollard played a strong positive influence with all of her Daughters and grandchildren children and son- in - laws and will be greatly missed by the whole family she and her husband created together a great life and many years of marriage. though Dorothy was strongly opinionated at times it was always from a place of love. She was loved by all her family and leaves behind very special memories with all. The family miss you and are deeply grateful, for the positive influence you had on the whole family.

      Dorothy is survived by three daughters, Dixie and her husband David Cross of Safety Harbor, FL, Loretta Buttry of Carmi and Misty Green of Columbus, OH; a brother, Buddy McMahan; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald G Pollard , her parents, 4 brothers, 1 sister & Rudy Buttry her son- in-law & two granddaughters Gabriel Congilione & Sidney Green,

Graveside funeral services and burial for Dorothy Pollard will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025. at Enfield Cemetery, in Enfield, Illinois. Condolences may be sent in care of Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi, who is in charge of arrangements.
