Donald R. Wallace, 69, of Wadesville, IN died 10:45 am, Saturday, July 8, 2006 at his home of an extended illness. He was born December 11, 1936 in Tennyson, IN son of Harold and Carroll (Holder) Wallace. Donald was a Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker and retired from George Koch & Son after 40 years. He then worked at BWX Technologies. He was a member of The Point Township Church of The Nazarene and received the Second Mile Award for the many hours of service on mission Trips and especially during the building project. Donald was a avid hunter and fisherman and a licensed Private Pilot. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Donald Ray, Jr., a brother, Eugene Wallace; and a sister Wilma Jean.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Donna L. (Yeida) Wallace of Wadesville; daughters, Shannon Marshall and her husband Jeff of Evansville, Kathleen Wallace-Mason and her husband Drew of Evansville and Marcie Owens Knight and her husband Jeff of Winslow, IN, and; 8 grandchildren, Roger, Corey, Cameron, Brianna, Keelin, Taylor, Braden and Kyle.
Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 East Fourth Street, Mt. Vernon, IN with burial in the Weiss Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, July 10, and from 9:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Point Township Church Building Fund or Visiting Nurse Hospice.
