Diana Russell

Diana Lynn Russell, 56, of Carmi passed away at 7:30 a.m., Sunday, April 14, 2019 at Wabash Christian Village in Carmi.  She was born in Evansville, IN on May 24, 1962 the daughter of Glen and Marge (Marvel) Pierce.  Diana married Edward A. "Eddie" Russell and he preceded her in death on July 9, 2016.  She had worked in various factories over the years, before marrying Eddie and raising their family.  Diana enjoyed playing cards and bingo and singing karaoke.

Surviving are two sons, David "Jr" (Gena) Simmons of Carmi and Daryl (Susan Schlotter) Simmons of Marion, IL; her mother, Margie Hester of Carmi; companion, Robert Wires of Carmi; a step-son, David (Destanee) Russell of Princeton, IN; a step-daughter, Brittany Russell of Carmi; four sisters, Kim Brandon and Tina Burnett both of Crossville, Jenny Dunn of McLeansboro and Janet Pierce of Carmi; a brother, Glen Pierce of Ireland, IN; four grandchildren, Kadie and Lindsey Simmons, Carrie Schlotter and Zaiver Perry; and a great-grandchild, Ryder Legrand.

Diana was preceded in death by her father, husband, and a sister, Kathy McGregor.

Graveside memorial services and burial for Diana Lynn Russell, 56, of Carmi will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2019 in Melrose Cemetery in Carmi.  Memorial contributions may be made in Diana's memory to assist the family will funeral expenses to Campbell Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
