Dennis Burrell Pindell

   Dennis Burrell Pindell, 71, of Norris City, IL, passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, surrounded by his family. Born September 23, 1955, in Gary, IN, he was the son of Sidney and Tressie (Crider) Pindell. Dennis married Cynthia Stokes on December 18, 1981, at the First United Methodist Church in Norris City and they shared more than 39 years together before her passing on April 15, 2021. He enjoyed camping, fishing, classic rock music, sci fi shows, and documentaries. A talented artist, Dennis also took great pride in serving his country in the Army. He was a member of the Norris City American Legion, and his family extends special thanks to his American Legion family for their years of camaraderie, laughter, and support.

   Dennis is survived by his children, Brandice Pindell and Amber Pindell of Norris City; bonus daughters, Felicia Goessman, Devin Youngblood, and Emmelia Sisco; grandchildren, Maleigha Sanders, Ivy Green, Jazlynn Green, Isiah Green, and many bonus grandbabies that he loved as his own; siblings, Cathy (“Hot Rod”) Back, Luwanna (Carl) Lacrosse, and Geana (Tom) Pinkston; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Keith and Sandy Stokes; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sidney and Tressie Pindell; wife, Cynthia Pindell; daughter, Tara Jolene Pindell; brother, Michael David (Tammy) Pindell.

  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City is assisting the family with arrangements.
