Dee was born in Springfield, Indiana February 4, 1924, daughter of Thomas J. and Anna Jane (Upton) Clark. She moved to Mt. Vernon in 1924 and married Andrew Lee Dills in 1946. The couple was married for 26 years. Dee worked in the shipyards on the LST in the 1940’s and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Coon Club and the Two Rivers Camping Club.

She was preceded in death by:
Her husband, Andrew Lee Dills, in 1972.
4 brothers, Lawrence, Walter, Ewell, and Berl “Bud” Clark.
She was also preceded in death by her Niece, Neva Juanita Schaeffer and Nephew, Kenneth R. Clark.

She is survived by:
Her Sister, Armada Hartmann of Mt. Vernon
8 nieces and nephews, Howard E. Clark (Sonny), Thomas W. Clark, Lawrence G. Clark (Larry), and F. Elaine King, all of Mt. Vernon, Indiana. Terri L. Riecken of New Harmony, Indiana, Doris L. Crutchfield of Grayville, Illinois, Berl K. Clark Jr. of Fairview Hts., Illinois, and John V. Clark of Henderson, Kentucky.
Two very close life-long friends: Joyce Crocker and Gloria Ladd both of Mt. Vernon.

Funeral Services will be 1pm, Wednesday, August 1, 2007 at Austin Funeral Home, 1330 E. 4th St , Mt. Vernon, Indiana with Reverend Tom Buffington and Reverend Leon Clark officiating, with burial in Bellefontaine Cemetery in Mt. Vernon.

Friends may call 4 pm until 8 pm, Tuesday, July 31st, 2007, at the funeral home.
