Dean Stokes, 52, of Norris City, passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 1:59 p.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. He was born April 23, 1961 in Carmi, IL, the son of Ronald B. and Gloria Jean (Healy) Stokes. Dean was a laborer in the oilfields.
Surviving are his wife, Laurie of Norris City; his father and stepmother, Ronald B. and Euna Stokes of Norris City; his mother, Gloria Jean Leisure (Pervis Davis) of Moro, Arkansas; a daughter, Whitney Scott of Bellevue, Nebraska; a sister, Kimberly Corbett; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jeffrey Scott and Tammy Stokes of Louisville, Kentucky and Willie and Bonnie Glad of Norris City; seven nieces and nephews; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and ex-wife, Sherry Lynn Hall of Shawneetown.
Funeral services for Dean Stokes, 52, of Norris City, will be held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Campbell Funeral Home in Norris City. Friends may call on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
Memorial gifts may be given to Campbell Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
