Danetta Newman, 63, of Carmi, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 1:10 a.m. at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville, IN. She was born December 13, 1949 in Evansville, the daughter of Daniel Elijah and Veda Emogene (Williams) Usery. Danetta was a homemaker.
She is survived by two sons, Donnie Gene and Jeffrey Michael Newman both of Carmi; a sister and brother-in-law, Jonra and Max Melton of Ft. Gibson, Oklahoma; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Debbie Usery and Charles E. "Gene" and Marilyn Usery all of Carmi; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Graveside funeral and burial services for Danetta Newman, 63, of Carmi, will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Kuykendall Cemetery in Carmi. There is no visitation and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Campbell Funeral Home in Carmi is in charge of arrangements.
